Privacy Policy for Bexul

This version of the Privacy Policy applies to Bexul distributions that do not offer in-app purchases. It explains how Bexul collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use the app, including features involving user-generated content and AI assistance.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of Bexul in versions where digital purchases and virtual goods are not offered through the app. For privacy questions, contact bexulinfo@bexulapp.com.

2. Adults Only

Bexul is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly permit children or minors to use the app.

3. Information We Collect

Profile information, such as display name and profile photo, that you choose to provide.
Saved guides, challenge reflections, kitchen history items, blocked content lists, and other content you create in the app.
Feedback, reports, and communications you send to us.
Text you enter into AI or tool features, including optional speech-to-text output that you choose to submit.
Basic app state, device-related, and usage-related information necessary to operate and protect the app.

4. How We Use Information

To provide the app and its baking-related features.
To support voice-to-text and AI-assisted features you choose to use.
To process feedback, reports, and moderation decisions.
To enforce content standards and protect users.
To maintain app security, troubleshoot issues, and comply with law.

5. User-Generated Content and Moderation

Bexul may allow users to submit text, images, profile content, reports, feedback, and other materials. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behavior.

Prohibited content includes: pornographic or sexually explicit content; yellow or obscene content; disturbing, graphic, or disgusting content; gambling promotion; drug promotion or illegal drug-related material; hateful or discriminatory content; abusive political or extremist political content; harassment; bullying; threats; or content that is likely to offend, distress, disgust, or endanger users.

We provide reporting and blocking mechanisms and may review, hide, remove, restrict, or preserve content or related records where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, or comply with law.

6. AI and Voice Input

If you use Ask AI or related features, the text you submit, including speech-to-text output that you choose to send, may be processed by third-party AI service providers in order to generate a response. You should avoid submitting highly sensitive information through these features.

7. GDPR Legal Bases

Contract: to provide the app and the features you request.
Consent: for optional permissions such as camera, photo library, microphone, and speech recognition access.
Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, improve, and moderate the app and prevent misuse.
Legal obligation: where required by applicable law.

8. Sharing and Transfers

We do not sell your personal data. We may share personal data with service providers where reasonably necessary for app operation, AI processing, moderation support, hosting, security, and customer support. Such providers may process data in countries outside your own, subject to applicable legal requirements.

9. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing features, maintaining records, enforcing rules, and complying with law.

10. Your Rights

11. App Permissions We Use

Photo Library: to choose a profile photo.
Camera: to take a profile photo.
Microphone: to dictate a baking question before it is turned into text.
Speech Recognition: to convert your voice to text before you send it to Ask AI.

We do not list permissions that are not currently used by these features.
