Our app provides a suite of baking tools including recipe remix capabilities, kitchen rescue guidance, AI-powered baking Q&A, daily baking challenges, a personal kitchen journal, and a comprehensive baking guide library. Bexul is built for baking enthusiasts aged 18 and older who want to elevate their skills and enjoy a calmer, more organized kitchen workflow.
Bexul requests the following device permissions to provide its full range of features. All permissions are optional and can be managed through your device's Settings at any time.
The camera permission is used to capture photos for your profile avatar and baking journal entries. You can take pictures of your baking creations directly within the app to document your progress and personalize your profile. This permission is only activated when you explicitly choose to take a photo.
Access to your photo library allows you to select existing images from your device for use as your profile avatar or to attach photos to your kitchen journal entries. The app only accesses photos you specifically select and does not scan or upload your entire photo library.
The microphone permission enables the voice input feature within the AI Baking Assistant. Instead of typing your baking questions, you can speak them aloud and the app will convert your speech to text using on-device speech recognition. Audio is processed in real-time and is not recorded or stored permanently.
Network access is required for the AI-powered features of Bexul. When you use the Recipe Remix tool, Kitchen Rescue advisor, or AI Baking Assistant, your queries are sent to the DeepSeek AI service over an encrypted connection to generate intelligent responses. Without network access, the AI features will be unavailable, but all other app features including challenges, journal, guides, and profile management will continue to function normally.
After downloading the app, you will be presented with a guest login screen. Accept the terms of use and tap the login button to enter the app. You can then explore baking challenges, use the AI tools, browse guides, and set up your profile.
Before using AI-powered features, Bexul asks for your explicit consent to share your baking queries with the DeepSeek AI service. This is to ensure transparency about how your data is processed. You can decline and still use all non-AI features of the app.
Yes, many features work offline including viewing your saved challenges, browsing previously loaded guides, accessing your kitchen journal, and managing your profile. However, AI-powered features (Recipe Remix, Kitchen Rescue AI responses, and Ask AI) require an active internet connection.
You can delete your local data through the Settings & Privacy section within your profile. This will remove your journal entries, chat history, challenge progress, and profile information from your device.

Bexul stores all data locally on your device. Your data is included in standard iOS device backups (iCloud or local backups via Finder/iTunes). We do not maintain separate cloud servers for user data storage.
